Despite three powerhouses, pesky power cuts irk Kangan inhabitants | KNO

Ganderbal, Nov 30 (KNO): Irked by the frequent power cuts, the residents of Kangan area of Ganderbal Monday accused Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to adhere to their own power curtailment schedule. The local alleges that the PDD is providing inadequate electricity from the past one month in their area. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the residents from Chinnar, Prang ,Kijpora,Kangan area of Kangan highlighted their sufferings due to the acute power paucity in the area. The locals said the present power scenario has resulted in a great inconvenience to the inhabitants of the area. “Students are facing tremendous hardships as they are preparing for board examinations,” the residents said. They said that despite having three powerhouses in the district including one in Kangan, the area is reeling under darkness due to the "callous attitude of the authorities". They appealed to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and redress their grievances at the earliest—(KNO)
